WHAT IS TRUTH Just prior to the
crucifixion of Jesus Christ in Jerusalem (an event which can be proven from historical record). Jesus was asked this
question Pontius Pilate “What is truth?”
The answer given by Jesus,
if any, is not recorded because Pilate then walked away. But we know
the answer to this question because Jesus had already given it
beforehand. He said “I am the way the
truth and the life, no man comes to the Father but by me”. Also He said “you shall know the truth and
the truth shall set you free” Free from what? From hatred of all kinds, self, others,
circumstances. In other words once it
is accepted by you that you are right with GOD because Jesus made you right
in truth, you then seek to help the situation of others rather than that of
yourself. This help by assistance, not
by the passing of the death sentence on them. THE GIVE AND THE GET WAY OF LIFE The teachings of
Jesus Christ while He was on this Earth align perfectly with the Bible. His life was the perfect give way of life
to fulfil the written word of GOD. The
focal point of His teaching was the give way of life. He taught to have
respect to the other person and love them as you love yourself. He filled the Ten Commandments given to the
Jews, to the full, not only teaching about them, but by teaching how to keep
them in truth and personally doing that perfectly. This without fault! The Jews failed to keep them not because
the Commandments were weak but because of the weakness of mankind. The get way of life
on the other hand is clearly defined by the way it is upheld. There are three fundamental ways that gain
can be obtained: 1) By working for it, 2) By stealing it, and 3) By a gift from another person. Most religions teach these concepts and the
fact that stealing is wrong, in many cases with severe punishment. However they experience major problems with
the receiving of a gift. The world
always looks for an ulterior motive in a gift. “There is no such thing as a free
lunch” Mankind has reached a stage
where he cannot perceive of an unconditional gift. Everything has to be justified in this
life. A prison sentence is seen as
payment for the crime, where really it is not acceptable before GOD. Only
Christ’s sacrifice pays. This mindset has
prevented receiving the unconditional gift
from GOD without first working for it. The get way of life in this world to-day
is a fallacy. People are stealing form
others, lying and killing to try to
get rather than listening to the word of Jesus who taught “I am the way the
truth and the life”. The gift of
Eternal Life from GOD cannot be received by working, stealing or any other
way than receiving it as a gift. GOD gave Jesus to
the world as a free gift to redeem His people from the evil spirit despot
(who has deceived the world that he doesn't exist) who was lording it over
them, and who still lords it over those who through ignorance do not
understand that the prison door is open in Jesus Christ. If you were in prison and the door was
opened would you just sit there. Not
unless you were blind as well as immobilised. This means humbling
self to receive it. An act of will is
required. This means admitting our mindset.
This means admitting that we are living the get way of life. This means admitting we are not living in
love to others but rather in hatred because of our ignorance or background. |
